Silversmithing is an ancient traditional art form, passed on from generation to generation, and has gradually disappeared from the world. Most silversmith workshops have been closed as the years went by, adding higher significance to the vision, spirit and success of Hazorfim brand, combined by a unique soul and promise of preserving the ancient spirit of the art of silver for all generations to come. Every silver piece begins as an idea that transforms to a sketch in the design department, later developed into a three dimensional model. Once the prototype is approved, the piece is ready to be created and refined in the workshop

The uniqueness of Hazorfim silver creations begins with the fact that all pieces come to life from raw material. The silver metal is mined in crystals that are purified into small silver grains. The first step in creating a silver piece begins in the casting shop. Since silver is a tremendously soft metal that tends to distort, the world wide standard of refining silver is as a compound of silver with a pinch of copper, and as such, every silver piece receives a stamping as 925 pure silver . In our casting workshop we cast sterling silver into a block, which is stamped into a silver sheet.

Every silver sheet is stamped with the initial shape of every part from the whole piece. Every silver creation by Hazorfim consists of more then 30 parts in every piece. In order to refine round symmetrical parts, we use the art of pressing; an ancient technique that enables molding silver rounded two-dimensional plates, into a rounded three-dimensional part. Turning and pressing the silver plate during circular motion accomplish the act of pressing.

The silver parts are sculptured according to our designs by chasing technique. Chasing is qualified artists who specialize in this refine art form accomplish a manual. Chasing enables decorating silver by sculpting out a three-dimensional drawing plated from the precious metal itself. The artist draws the design on the piece, and by using a hammer and delicate scalpels, sculptures an embossment with a delicate range of lines, forms and details.

When all separate parts are refined, they are assembled to create the whole piece. Silver parts are soldered delicately, into one flawless piece. At this stage every piece is stamped with the 925 sterling silver stamp, combined with Hazorfim Quality signature. The silver piece is polished, and then coated with a fresh silver coat that heightens the flawless finish, and preserves its quality for the length of time.
